October

 

International Development Studies Senior 3-minute Presentation Day
As part of the IDS capstone course with Rev. Robert Dowd, CSC, on the Tuesday before fall break, each senior will give a brief (3-minute) oral synopsis of his/her project. This class will take place in 1050 Jenkins Nanovic Halls and will be open for all members of the IDS community (students, IDS administrators, and faculty) to attend. This will be helpful to students in the minor who are discerning and deciding on their capstone research project.

Information Meeting – Undergraduate Internships, Fellowships, and Grants
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors should plan to attend this meeting to learn more about Kellogg’s international programs, including internships, fellowships, and grants that offer opportunities to conduct research or do internships on such topics as global health and sustainability. Previous recipients will talk about their summer experiences and offer advice about how to apply.

International Development Studies Meeting 
The focus of the meeting will be the field research projects and several faculty, as well as seniors, will be at the meeting to talk about your ideas, share advice and answer questions.  This is a networking event so you will have the opportunity to move around the room and meet with faculty and students you think could be helpful to you for your project. All IDS students should attend. Dinner will be provided.

Kellogg International Scholars End-of-Semester Meeting
Senior International Scholars will facilitate small group discussions. Juniors and sophomores will choose the person they want to meet with based on the bios on the website and will be divided into groups based on their choices.
All International Scholars are required to attend. Dinner will be provided.
