Kellogg Faculty Fellow and former long-time Advisory Board member Raymond C. Offenheiser, director of the McKenna Center for Human Development and Global Business, has been named the recipient of Notre Dame’s prestigious President’s Award, which annually recognizes pioneering and visionary achievements in research, public impact, and/or creative endeavors that advance University goals. The citation recognizes the great contributions Offenheiser made as the inaugural director of the Pulte Institute for Global Development, including forging more than 400 partnerships with other institutions globally and garnering more than $20 million in external funding, including the largest-ever grant to Notre Dame from the US Agency for International Development. It states the Offenheiser is "widely recognized for his remarkable energy, vision, and insight in support of interdisciplinary research initiatives across the University that focus on reducing poverty and addressing inequalities by mobilizing the private sector in this worthy cause."
The Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame, is an interdisciplinary community of scholars and students from across the University and around the globe that promotes research, provides educational opportunities, and builds partnerships throughout the world on the themes of global democracy and integral human development.
