Guadalupe Tuñón

Guadalupe Tuñón is an Academy Scholar at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, where she studies comparative politics, political economy, and political methodology, with a focus on Latin America. Her research has centered broadly on religion and politics, focusing on how religious ideas shape the electoral influence of religious actors.

Tuñón is a research associate at the University of California, Berkeley’s Center on the Politics of Development. She was a pre-doctoral fellow at the Global Religion Research Initiative at the University of Notre Dame and a Penn Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Starting in the fall of 2020, she will be an assistant professor in Princeton University’s Department of Politics and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Tuñón earned an MA in political science from Yale University and a PhD in political science from UC Berkeley.
