Juan Miguel Alvarez is a second-year student in the Master of Divinity program at the University of Notre Dame. He is a former Cristo Rey Jesuit High School theology teacher and former Director of Faith Formation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Chicago, where he led several trips to El Salvador. He attended Óscar Romero's canonization in Rome and continues to study how Romero's theology and ministry speak to our world today.
