Graduate Student Opportunities

Conference Travel Grants

The Kellogg Institute understands the significance of academic conferences and recognizes the financial challenges graduate students may encounter in attending them. These awards are intended to assist Kellogg Doctoral Student Affiliates with the costs related to traveling to academic conferences where they will be presenting papers. We will also consider requests for support to participate in other forums where graduate students present their work. In the latter case, please make sure to include a copy of the formal invitation with your application.

Deadlines

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply soon after receiving confirmation of your conference participation, and no later than 30 days prior to the start of your proposed travel.

Levels of Support

Effective July 1, 2024, individual grants will not normally exceed $2,000. Proposals will be considered for any amount below this figure. Applicants are required to notify the Kellogg Institute of any funding received from another source; in most cases, the Institute will adjust its award.
