Joseph Cornelius Donnelly is the Permanent Delegate to the United Nations for Caritas Internationalis, a global humanitarian NGO. As Head of Caritas' International Delegation, he manages the confederation's work on the UN's Millennium Delevopment Goals (MDG) at UN Headquarters in New York. He serves as the primary liaison with the UN's Millennium Campaign's Global Office in New York and European Office in Rome. He is chairman of the NGO Working Group on the Security Council, and one of the founding members of the Food & Hunger NGO Working Group in NY. He organised the MDG Convening Group and coordinates with Member States, NGOs, civil society organisations, faith-based organisations and development experts. He is a member of the General Assembly President's MDG2010 Summit Task Force.
