Rossana Castiglioni is an Associate Professor at the School of Political Science and co-responsible for the Latin American Network for Social Policy Analysis, PolSoc ( www.polsoc.org). She has been visiting professor at Harvard University's DRCLAS, the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, Leiden University's Department of Latin American Studies, and Oxford University's Harris Manchester College. Her work has been published in various academic journals such as the Journal of Social Policy, Latin American Politics and Society, the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, the Journal of Politics in Latin America, The Developing Economies, and Electoral Studies, among others. Her topics of interest are the comparative social politics of Latin America and the problems of democratic representation. She is currently dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and History UDP.
Castiglioni has a degree in Sociology from the University of the Republic, Uruguay, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame.
