Faculty Fellow Victoria Tin-Bor Hui was interviewed by BBC News regarding the latest protest in China, Bridge Man. In Beijing, a man mounted two banners and burnt tires on an overpass while shouting to remove Xi Jinping from power and to go on strike. This stunt has exploded on the internet creating, "a wake-up call for the privileged,” Hui exclaimed and that they finally, "feel that the regime is hurting them too." While China has increased their censorship after this protest, Hui believes this message will not die.
