Faculty Fellow Susan Blum was quoted in an Inside Higher Ed article about the process of ungrading in college classrooms. Blum has not assigned grades in years, and does not plan to return to using them in the future. She said that the ungrading process provides "so much more information than a simple grade could ever be.” While gathering information for a new book on the subject, Blum found that courses in the humanities lend themselves more easily to ungrading, but it can be applied to any discipline.
