Faculty Fellow Victoria Tin-bor Hui (political science) wrote an article for The Washington Post about the leaders and aftermath of Hong Kong's Umbrella Movement.  Hui discussed recent efforts to erode the rule of law in Hong Kong and predicts that its citizens will continue to struggle for autonomy.  She said, "the sentencing of university professors and young activists may be backfiring. In the aftermath of the Umbrella Movement, going to jail has become a badge of honor."
