Holly and Rachel Travel

Two Kellogg Institute staff members - Associate Director Holly Rivers and Rachel Thiel, program coordinator for undergraduate student programs - recently spent two weeks in Ghana and Senegal meeting new organizations for summer research and internship possibilities, and connecting with current and former Kellogg students.

During their travels, they connected with Bright Gyamfi '16, a former Kellogg International Scholar now conducting research in Senegal for his PhD in political science at Northwestern University, Fatou Thioune '18, a Kellogg/Kroc Undergraduate Research Grant recipient in summer 2017 whose project focused on the Central Bank of West African States, and Debora Mulokozi '19, a current Kellogg International Scholar and summer 2018 Kellogg/Kroc Undergraduate Research Grant recipient, now researching the Talibés (Qur'anic students) in Senegal.
