The Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the University of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs, is an interdisciplinary community of scholars that promotes research, provides educational opportunities, and builds linkages related to democracy and human development.

Former Faculty Fellow George Lopez (political science and peace studies) published an article "The Iran sanctions are bound to fail" in The Hill. In the article, Lopez criticizes the Trump administration's sanctions that followed President Trump's decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. He says, "Any honest assessment shows the administration has not articulated a coherent foreign policy that will lead to sanctions success."
