Kellogg Faculty Fellow Joshua Eisenmanassociate professor at the Keough School of Global Affairs, received an honorable mention for the 2019 Robert W. Hamilton Book Award for his book Red China's Green Revolution: Technological Innovation, Institutional Change, and Economic Development Under the Commune, published by Columbia University Press. It tells the story of the commune’s origins, evolution, and downfall, demonstrating its role in China’s economic ascendance.
