Marcela Peredo Rojas is the Chilean Fulbright Chair in Democracy and Human Development and will be in residence at the Kellogg Institute during the spring of 2023. She holds a Ph.D. in Law from the Universidad de los Andes, Chile, and a Master's Degree in Law Research from the same institution. Marcela currently serves as a Professor of Law at Universidad de los Andes, Chile. Her academic research focuses mainly on political and constitutional theory, specifically on the legislative deference and judicial review, also in human rights protection, and its application in Chile. Most of her publications are related to human rights and limits of public powers.
