Khadijat Atere

Khadijat earned a bachelor’s degree in forest resources management at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. In 2020, she was selected for the Erasmus Program, a European Union student exchange program, through which she attended the University of Jaén in Spain and took courses in environmental education and management, conservation of geological resources, and geological hazards. Khadijat is passionate about environmental sustainability. Upon graduation from university, Khadijat worked with Vertex Atlantic Architects, where she utilized her knowledge of urban forestry to work on environmental projects for the company. Her journey at the Keough School of Global Affairs has deepened her love for the role of data in development, and she is currently exploring how data can be used to adequately measure development goals.

 

Vivian Kattan

Vivi is a senior double majoring in Management Consulting and Global Affairs. She grew up in Honduras, which has shaped her commitment to advancing education and fostering social entrepreneurship. Her experiences include empowering communities in South African townships through the EESA program, conducting ethnographic research in Uganda, engaging with the Urban Poverty and Business Initiative in South Bend, and partnering with NGOs in Honduras. Moving forward, Vivian is excited to deepen her understanding and expand her knowledge in these areas to drive meaningful change.
