Alexandra Huneeus is associate professor of law and legal studies at the University of WisconsinMadison and permanent visiting professor of law at Universidad Diego Portales Law School in Chile. A leading authority on human rights law in Latin America, her work stands at the intersection of law, political science, and sociology. Her current book project, International Criminal Law by Other Means: State Atrocity and the Human Rights Courts, is supported by an NSF grant.
The winner of the American Association for Law Schools Scholarly Papers prize, among others, Huneeus is widely published in a range of books and journals. She serves on the board of editors of the American Journal of International Law and on the board of the Inter-American Human Rights Network. She holds a JD and PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
