For the 2022-23 academic year, former Visiting Fellow Gema Kloppe-Santamaría (2017-18) will be a Marie Curie Fellow at the Freiburg Institute of Advanced Studies (FRIAS) at Heidelberg University.
She is working on a second book on the contentious relationship between religion and violence in Mexico (1920-2020), a project that has been supported by a Global Religion Research Initiative (GRRI) Project Launch Grant from University of Notre Dame and, most recently, a Harry Frank Guggenheim Distinguished Scholar Award.
