Faculty Fellow Liang Cai (history) has been interviewed by a local NPR affiliate in the 88.1 WVPE article titled, “Local Activist Organizations Join to Support Asian American Community.” She was also interviewed by the South Bend Tribune in the article, “Peace Protesters Stand in Unity with Asian Americans.” Both articles describe Cai’s involvement in South Bend protests following a rise in violence against Asian Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cai comments, "We have to change the environent and change the society to make people understand that Asian Americans are first, Americans."
