Faculty Fellow Fr. Emmanuel Kantogole (theology and peace studies) was mentioned in a National Catholic Reporter commentary titled, “The Vatican and Pax Christi International think big on peace.” The piece summarizes the Retreat of Gospel Nonviolence that was organized by Pax Christi International and its Catholic Nonviolence Initiative in cooperation with the Vatican's Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development to discuss the Catholic Church’s movement to reclaim Gospel nonviolence. Fr. Emmanuel Kantogole was one of the presenters and he “told stories of people all across Africa wielding nonviolence as a fundamental spirituality and a power for social change.”
