Kellogg Distinguished Research Affiliate Leonard Wantchekon is featured in an article in The Economist that describes how the Benin native “wants to prepare African students for world-class doctoral programmes.”
According to the article, Wantchekon founded the African School of Economics in 2014 in Benin “to offer African students the highest standards of mathematics and economics teaching, ensuring they can compete with graduates overseas.”
Wantchekon was a 2019 Kellogg Institute visiting fellow and is a professor of politics, international affairs, and economics (associate faculty) at Princeton University.
