Graham Englert, a 2015 graduate of the International Development Studies Minor, published his capstone paper "The Social and Psychological Risks Posed to Health Workers when Responding to Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Outbreaks in Uganda" in Global Public Health. In 2014, Englert conducted on-site research for this paper in Uganda with funding from a Kellogg/Kroc Undergraduate Research Grant. Through interviews with 41 local health workers who had experienced recent Ebola and Marburg outbreaks, he examined the societal and psychological challenges of their work.
