Faculty Fellow Daniel Philpott (political science and peace studies) participated in a panel hosted by the National Catholic Register about the need for justice and reconciliation on interpersonal and international levels.  The panel discussed how these concepts can be applied to the Catholic response to immigration, post-conflict peacebuilding efforts, and healing from the clergy sex abuse scandal.  Philpott said, "It's the great age of apology" and that "communities that are going to need to be restored if they're going to live together again."
