First organized in 2013 by Faculty Fellow Joseph Kaboski, the New Frontiers in Economic Development series features distinguished economists who deliver a public lecture as well as participate in a master class with graduate-level economics students. The series' original focus was microeconomic poverty interventions, but now focuses on larger-scale economic issues and their impact in developing countries. The series is currently organized by faculty fellows Alejandro Estefan Davila and Heitor Pellegrina, and cosponsored by the Department of Economics.
