As the invasion of Ukraine continues, people have questioned whether or not Putin will be tried for war crimes. Faculty Fellow Ernesto Verdeja was interviewed by the Insider to inquire if the International Criminal Court will put Putin on trial. Verdeja believes that Putin has a “decent chance” of being charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity; however it is “pretty unlikely” that Putin would ever go to trial.
