Faculty Fellow Vanesa Miseres, in a wonderful piece by the Notre Dame news office, reflectes on her research connecting European and Latin American history and literature, and a new literature course she developed that looks at English travelers to South America, which she taught at various sites in London this summer.
"In times of the 'British exit' or 'Brexit,' I found it important to offer a course on English literature that could focus instead on connections, routes, and transnational exchanges... that could be taught from a non-traditional and non-exclusively European point of view," she shares.
