Former Visiting Fellow Maria Paula Bertran, who was the Brazilian Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Democracy and Human Development at the Kellogg Institute in 2018, recently had an article published in the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance called "What is the size of credit card debt in Brazil? Reporting Thresholds, Interest Rates and Income Distribution," which she co-authored with former Notre Dame visiting assistant professor David Echeverry, whom she met during her time at Kellogg. She currently is working on a project with Kellogg PhD Fellow Luiz Vilaça about the Car Wash Operation in Brazil and big data.
"The Kellogg Institute was vital to most of my professional achievements since I visited you in 2018," she says.
Bertran is the Law and Society Associate Professor and Chair of the Ribeirão Preto Law School at the University of São Paulo.
