Faculty Fellow Rev. Robert Pelton, CSC (theology) was quoted in an article in The Guardian about the upcoming canonization of Salvadoran priest Óscar Romero.  The Latin American priest's canonization has been blocked for decades due to controversy about his association with liberation theology.  Pelton said Romero was a “wonderful pastoral example to the world," adding that he was "surprised how long it took to finally get to the truth about him.”
