Faculty Fellow Daniel Philpott (political science & peace studies) was mentioned in an article in The Wall Street Journal about Pope Francis' recent visit to Morocco.  This trip is one of several recent efforts by the Pope to engage with the Muslim world and promote interreligious dialogue.  Philpott is credited with saying that "Religious freedom is a sensitive topic in Morocco, where the regime maintains tight control over the Muslim community and discriminates against some religious minorities including Christians, Bahais and Shia Muslims."
