Faculty Fellow Ray Offenheiser (global affairs) has written an opinion piece for the Chronicle of Philanthropy titled, “The Coronavirus Has Revealed the True Nature of Hunger in America.” In the article, he describes how the pandemic has highlighted the many systemic issues around food insecurity that face the United States and proposes recommendations for change. 

He concludes, “This pandemic should be a moment of reckoning for all Americans, a moment to build the social and political institutions that might once again nourish the nation.”
