A new article reviews a lecture at the University of Portland by Faculty Fellow Rev. Daniel G. Groody, CSC (theology and global affairs) entitled “Passing Over: Migration and the Eucharist” (The Beacon). Throughout the lecture, Groody discussed the role of faith and narratives in relation to migration issues. In one instance, he probed the question, "When a person crosses a border and they are apprehended by authorities do they have no legal right to be there because they’re illegal, or an intrinsic right to be there because they’re human beings?"
