Faculty Fellow Tracy Kijewski-Correa was interviewed by the Atlantic. She explains in the article, “Here Come the First Responders ... And the Engineers?”, what disaster work looks like and how her team has incorporated engineering to create simulations to see how hurricanes and winds affect different types of buildings. In her work, she shows, “them that we’re here for you. And we’re going to do our best so this never happens again.”
