Congratulations to Kellogg staffers Ilaria Schnyder von Wartensee and Elizabeth Hlabse on the publication of their article, "The Role of Personal Identity in Human Development" (co-authored with Gabriella Berloffa and Giuseppe Folloni), in the European Journal of Development Research.
It's based on their research showing that personal identity - or a person's recognition of her value - fosters a sense of agency.
They looked at the work of Rose Busingye and Meeting Point International, a grassroots organization in Uganda that primarily promotes health and wellbeing among vulnerable women, and noted the importance of relationships to personal identity.
