Faculty Fellow Tamara Kay spoke recently to Cronkite News about the new United States-Mexico–Canada Agreement that replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement.

In a July 1 article about how Arizona business leaders view the new trade agreement, Kay said “one key to the new deal is how its provisions are enforced.”

“It’s not perfect, but in key ways it is better than the original NAFTA,” she said. “The test is whether the enforcement mechanisms work on the ground, and whether they are enforced.”
