Kellogg Institute faculty fellow Carlos A. Jáuregui has been designated as a Distinguished Member of the Cátedra Emiliano Zapata Salazar, awarded by the Fundación Zapata, the Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia (ENAH), and the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH) in Mexico City.
This recognition acknowledges his work in the promotion of Zapatista memory and his contributions to the historical legacy of General Emiliano Zapata Salazar, including the international exposition and catalog Emiliano Zapata: 100 años, 100 fotos | Emiliano Zapata: 100 Years, 100 Photographs (with David Solodkow and K. Herazo, México: Casasola; Bogotá: Universidad de Los Andes, 2022). This project received the 2023 Dolores Huerta Best Cultural & Community Themed Book Award at the 25th International Latino Book Awards.
Jáuregui noted that he included in the book a recognition for the Kellogg Institute's support of his research for this project.
