Kellogg International Scholar alumna Dan (April) Feng '17 has been named one of the 2025 Domer Dozen by the Notre Dame Alumni Association.  The annual awards honor 12 University of Notre Dame graduates ages 32 and younger for excellence in their contributions in learning, service, faith and work – the core pillars of the association’s mission.

Feng was recognized for her work "combatting mass incarceration by connecting inmates with educational and social resources." She is the Chief Executive Officer of the non-profit tech company Ameelio, which virtually connects incarcerated people with family, education, and support networks, aiming to reduce the likelihood of recidivism and sustainably reduce prison populations. She joined the organization in July 2022 as Chief of Staff.

"It brings me as much fulfillment as happiness," said Feng about her work.

In a recent social media post about the award, Feng stated, "I have come to realize that the law of history is that of inertia, and that good things are more radical to come by than the evil ones. Choosing to 'do good' needs to be a relentless passion."

The Domer Dozen program is the signature initiative of YoungND, the Alumni Association’s young alumni group. This year, a selection committee made up of YoungND board members, University officials, and Alumni Association staff chose the 12 from among 114 nominees, evaluating them through a weighted ranking system that highlighted their professional achievements and contributions to their fields.
