After OPEC announced their decrease in the production of oil, Faculty Fellow Tom Gresik was interviewed about the impact the United States would face. In order to receive more oil, the United States may remove sanctions from Venezuela. Gresik states that, “If we get some of that oil into the United States, that could ease some of the production restraints.” He believes that it is necessary to offset the demand reductions or else there will be higher prices for gas.
