Evans Quoted on California’s Rising Unemployment and Budget Deficit

Faculty Fellow Bill Evans (economics) was quoted in an article from The Wall Street Journal titled, “Coronavirus Brings California Mass Unemployment, Huge Budget Hole, Governor Says.” The article touches on how California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, is handling its surging unemployment and huge budget deficit.

Evans comments on how “the timing of any aid to the states and local governments will determine how much they’ll have to cut their budgets.”
