Faculty Fellow Josh Eisenman (global affairs) was quoted in a South China Morning Post article titled, “Chinese Government Drops References to ‘Peaceful’ Reunification with Taiwan.” The article describes the obstacles to unifying the relationship between China and Taiwan.
Eisneman comments on how “Beijing was running out of countermeasures, since its actions had only hardened attitudes on the island and enhanced the sense of Taiwanese identity.”
