International Scholar Elsa Barron ‘21 describes her journey to climate activism in a new Rolling Stone article on young evangelicals and the climate crisis titled, “For These Young Evangelical Activists, Facing the Climate Crisis Is an Act of Faith.” The article highlights the growing network of young evangelical activists who are tackling climate change, specifically through fellowship in an organization called Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA).

In the article, Barron touches on her journey to understanding the intersection of faith and science. With regard to her research findings on cellular evolution she comments, “This is clearly established science, and to deny it is not a fruitful way to interact in the world and bridge the gap between faith and reason.”
