Keough School faculty member Arun Agrawal, a Kellogg faculty fellow, was recently featured in the ABC57 article “Trump administration to roll back Obama era EPA protections.”
The Trump administration has proposed the repeal of a 2009 study showing human-caused climate change endangers health and safety. While situating itself as one of the most significant reversals on climate policy in the nation’s history, it aims to lower air quality regulations while sparking the US economy.
Agrawal says that the proposal is expected to face legal challenges, making it difficult for businesses to decide how to move forward right now.
Agrawal is the Pulte Family Professor of Development Policy at the Keough School of Global Affairs and the founding director of the Just Transformations to Sustainability Initiative. He is a leading scholar in environment politics and developmental policy.
