Molly Griffith is a sophomore studying economics and political science. Her research passions lie in topics related to international law and international political economy. Since January 2023, she has worked with Professor Susanne Wengle in investigating how the Russian invasion of Ukraine has affected the Ukrainian agricultural sector. The project seeks to trace how war-related disruptions influence our perspectives on the fragility within the contemporary global food system. This semester, Griffith will focus specifically on analyzing scholarly articles to examine the connection between Ukrainian grain trade and growing populations in Turkey and Egypt.
