Lillian Rodriguez is working with Professor Alexandros Taflanidis and the Engineering2Empower (E2E) team to create a housing finance program for low-income Haitian families to afford safe, disaster resilient homes. As part of this process, she is being trained in design thinking to help develop a pilot housing program in Léogâne, Haiti.
Rodriguez is a new member of NDSEED (Notre Dame Students Empowering through Engineering Development), a student organization that partners with Engineers In Action (EIA) to build footbridges for communities suffering from rural isolation. This upcoming summer, she will be traveling as the research lead to Bolivia with the rest of the team to complete the bridge project that was started by the 2017-2018 NDSEED team. Rodriguez is also a member of the piccolo section in the Notre Dame Marching Band.
