Jean Mendieta Jiménez is a policy practitioner affiliated with the Kellogg Institute's Notre Dame Violence and Transitional Justice Lab (V-TJLab).

She was born in Acapulco, México, in 1979. She holds a BA in business administration from ITESO Jesuit University of Guadalajara (2000) and an MA in Peace and Justice Studies from the University of San Diego (2014) as a Rotary Global Scholar. She has experience in development in indigenous communities from Chiapas, México, working with women artisans on fair trade projects. She has been active in promoting peace and justice initiatives both locally and nationally, as activist, trainer, and researcher. She is co-founder and director of Acto Creativo, a consulting organization specialized in training and capacity building for peace and justice initiatives. She was member of the National Platform against Corruption and Impunity as part of the working group developing a proposal for a Truth and Memory Commission for México.
