Italian Constitutional Justice in Global Context Conference—Florence, Italy
Conference/Event Grant
In connection with the writing of my book entitled Italian Constitutional Justice in Global Context, we are planning to hold a small but very high level conference at the University of Florence on July 11, 2013. This event will bring together twelve scholars and judges – six from the United States and six from Italy – to discuss the manuscript of the book. The participants from the Unites States will include myself, Prof. A.J. Bellia of Notre Dame Law School (and Director of the Program on Constitutional Structures), and Justice Samuel Alito of the United States Supreme Court (who has already accepted our invitation). In addition, we are in the process of extending invitations to two other American scholars of comparative constitutional law, and one other U.S. federal judge. The Italian participants will include our three co-authors, Justice Sabino Cassese of the Italian Constitutional Court, Prof. Lorenza Violini of the University of Milan, and one other Italian scholar yet to be determined.
