2012-2013 This grant is for support to edit and publish online, through the Kellogg Institute website, the proceedings of the Kellogg-supported conference, "Learning In and Out of School: Education across the Globe."
The conference was held at the Hesburgh Center on May 21 and 22, 2012, and is part of an ongoing and developing conversation among social scientists from anthropology, psychology, education, and other fields regarding the nature of learning and the role played by the formal institutions we know as schools. The conference itself derived from a previous gathering, as we had had a double panel at the American Anthropological Association in 2011.
