New Research by Women Studying Violence
Academic Conference and Workshops
This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together mid and early-career female scholars at the forefront of research on violence. External experts, Kellogg faculty fellows, visiting fellows, and doctoral affiliates, as well as other Notre Dame graduate students will get together for a series of intensive sessions where participants will present and discuss their research on violence and other topics central to their scholarly advancement.
This year's workshop will also bring representatives of funding agencies to campus. By engaging in conversation with funding agencies, faculty and students will have the opportunity to better understand priority areas for funding and how to craft a grant application more effectively. The expectation is that having access to this information will encourage female scholars in particular to apply for major grants, and result in higher numbers of applications from female and male faculty and graduate students more generally.
