About

Xinyi Li is from Gansu, China, and is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics. Her broad research interests span macro-development, misallocation, and inequality. Her current project attempts to investigate what is the role of the land system in observed labor market outcomes, firm dynamics, and productivity patterns in developing countries, with further curiosity on long-run welfare implications. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Xinyi received her MS in Finance and BS in Mathematical Economics and Mathematical Finance at the Central University of Finance and Economics.
