Therese (Tess) Kesler is a sophomore majoring in political science and minoring in Italian. Kesler is interested specifically in U.S. foreign policy, international security, and the process of democratization in developing countries. Her focused areas of interest include Africa and the Middle East, although she has taken classes on European and Latin American politics. Outside of academics, Kesler is a captain of the women’s boxing club and works as an assistant to the Kellogg events team. She also enjoys any type of outdoor activity. Kesler is excited to collaborate with Kellogg faculty on projects to gain skills that will assist her in conducting independent research abroad through the Rome International Scholars Program (Spring 2025).
