Sophie Hanawalt ‘28

Sophie Hanawalt is a first-year Global Affairs major from the Detroit metropolitan area. Through the Developing Researchers Program, she’s excited to strengthen her research skills and hopes to explore her interests in the role of media in international human rights discourse and gender equity. On campus, she is an Associate News Editor for The Observer and works as a peer educator for the Title IX office.
