Simona Spiegel is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame. Her research examines the transnational politics of knowledge sharing, racialization, and healing in contemporary midwifery in the United States and Latin America. Her work centers the lived experiences of birth workers in order to provide insights and support for movements in reproductive justice and equity.
